The bassus sings by alternating 3rds and 5ths (and some 8ves) below the CF
The altus makes a flowery counterpoint in consonance with the bassus-tenor tandem
The superius makes a diminished counterpoint in consonance with the bassus-tenor tandem
The 2nd tenor (or the 2nd altus) makes a diminished counterpoint in consonance with the bassus-CF tandem
